30 for 30 Food Sustainability Project
We are very excited about a new campaign called 30 for 30 Sponsor Challenge. We are trying to raise awareness and support for Food Sustainability Projectin the Dominican Republic and we need your help.
So, would you consider being one of our 30 for 30 sponsors?
Aquaponics is a new sustainable agriculture structure that uses a recirculating system between fish and plants. The fish waste is converted into nitrogen by a bacteria and the plants use the nitrogen to grow themselves. By taking nitrogen out, the water becomes ideal for fish use once again. When our aquaponics greenhouses are fully functioning we will have 6000-8000 tilapia...we will purchase in 3 different phases of 2000 each. We will produce 10,000lbs of fresh vegetables each year.
With the chicken coop, we are purchasing 2000 chickens so we can sell the eggs...we will be able to sell each egg for right around 8 cents per egg. Gross profit from selling the eggs is $58,400 after all costs go out we should be able to profit around $30,000. The profit will go right back into help the people of the Dominican Republic, we hope to use our profits to plant churches and to put on evangelistic events.
Thanks for your support and God Bless you!!
